The New Brunswick Celtic Affairs Committee provides a focus for safeguarding and enhancing the Celtic culture of a significant portion of New Brunswick’s population and exploring relationships with the rest of the Celtic world.
Representatives of three Celtic associations – the Irish Canadian Cultural Association of New Brunswick, the New Brunswick Scottish Cultural Association, and the Central New Brunswick Welsh Society – have gathered together:
- to ensure the Celtic people receive acknowledgment as a major founding group of the province
- to provide a one-stop-shop for Celtic resources in New Brunswick, e.g.: Celtic entertainers, lecturers or historians, music or dance instructors, festivals and events, research centres, etc.
- to act as a single voice for the Celtic people of New Brunswick for addressing concerns and exploring opportunities for the future of Celtic culture in our province
